What is routine and preventive care?

Technically speaking, routine care is a type of preventive care. Both are done as a matter of routine, even when there is nothing wrong with the patient. These tests are usually done at particular stages of a person’s life.

The ultimate objective of preventative care is to identify a person’s vulnerability to diseases or their likelihood of developing a condition by a certain age. Accordingly, it aims to provide treatments that can completely prevent these conditions from setting-in.

Weight Loss

Weight loss is not one-size-fits-all. We take a patient-centered approach to help you build a plan that fits your health history, lifestyle, goals, and comfort level. Together, we create a personalized strategy that may include nutrition guidance, lifestyle support, lab evaluation, and medical treatment options when appropriate.

For patients who qualify, prescription weight loss medications may be considered as part of the plan. Many medical options are covered by insurance, and we can help review what may be available based on your individual needs and coverage.

Our goal is to support safe, sustainable weight loss with a plan that feels realistic, medically guided, and built around you.

We help address the challenging physiologic changes many women experience during menopause. The strategies that once worked for weight, energy, and overall health often stop working.  With Well45+, we take a different approach. This is not a one-size-fits-all program or a quick fix. It’s a medical provider–guided, personalized plan designed specifically for women navigating perimenopause and menopause.

We combine evidence-based medical care—including GLP-1 therapy, nutrition, and activity guidance—with sustainable lifestyle changes and a thoughtful, whole-person approach to support lasting results.

We offer physical exams for your convenience so you can bring your children and teens in for school, camp, and sports physicals.

Our providers are also certified examiners for Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals. Whatever the reason for your exam, walk-in physicals are quick and easy problems are detected.

Physical Exams

What is a physical?

Simply put, the purpose of a physical examination is prevention. Whether you have a child in need of a sports physical, or you’re an adult who needs a DOT physical, your exam can be one of the best ways to screen for illnesses or other health concerns. The exam may help identify an impending health issue while there’s still time to correct it.

A comprehensive physical examination helps your provider spot medical problems at an early stage so that they can be more easily addressed and managed. These include high blood pressure or hypertension and diabetes, to name a few. Your physical can also be a good time to pinpoint any potential weight problems that could lead to obesity, and we can counsel you on some simple ways you can manage the problem.

In other cases, a physical exam may be required for pre-employment or as part of an occupational medical exam. Whatever the reason for your physical, these exams can be crucial to your overall health.

Although physicals vary depending on their purpose and the provider, most consist of the following:

  • Medical history: This involves a review of any past or current concerns, an evaluation of lifestyle or behaviors, such as smoking, diet, and exercise, as well as a check of your vaccinations and an update of your personal and family medical history.
  • Check of vital signs: During this portion of the exam, your blood pressure, heart, and respiration rates will be checked, as well as your temperature.
  • General appearance: Your examiner can learn much about your health simply by observing your appearance. He or she may look for signs of mental quickness, examine the health of your skin, or even observe you as you stand or walk.

Additionally, most physicals include an examination of the following:

  • Heart
  • Lungs
  • Head & neck
  • Abdomen
  • Reflexes, balance & muscle strength (neurological)
  • Nails & skin

In some cases, you may also require lab tests, such as a blood count, or urinalysis. Other tests may be needed if potential medical

What are some different types of physicals?

A variety of physicals are offered. For children and teens, sports, camp, and school physicals are often required prior to participation. For adults, a physical may be a normal part of an annual checkup, or required for pre-employment. DOT physicals are necessary to ensure the safe operation of trucks and buses on our nation’s highways. At other times, a physical can help to determine whether an employment candidate is physically qualified to handle a particular job.

Physicals typically include the following types:

    • General physical (for adults) $99
    • Camp physical $99
    • School physical (K-12) $99
